My name is Janusz Kahl. I am a Danish citizen of Polish origin, living now in Krakow in Southern Poland. Studied at the Copenhagen Business School, DK with specialization in organization, strategy and foreign trade. Since 1992 I work as an independent consultant in Poland. In 1996 I started NordicHouse – Scandinavian Business and Culture Center, consulting company (facilitaters) helping Scandinavian companies in entering Polish market and responsible for interregional cooperation between Danish, Norwegian and Swedish regions and Regions in Southern Poland. In January 2014 I established South Poland Cleantech Cluster as a Ltd. with 30 shareholders – „quadruple helix company” (cleantech companies, universities and research institutes, cities and municipalities and NGOs). SPCleantech deals with prevention of global climate changes and promoting sustainable development of the region. With a mission to be the most innovative cleantech cluster in Central and Eastern Europe and very competitive world wide, SPCleantech helps its members in achieving this goal. We especially concentrate on matchmaking and B2B networks, entrepreneurship, innovation and start-ups, coaching and mentoring, test and demonstration, international branding and marketing. SPCleantech supported by KIC InnoEnergy is a Pre-Accelerator Point for Polish start-ps. In 1999 I was appointed Goodwill Ambassador of the Danish-Swedish region – Øresund. In may 2014 I received Order of the Polar Star (Kungliga Nordstjärnenorden) assigned by HM King of Sweden Karl Gustav VI to the consul for his civil merits and in January 2016 I received the Knight’s Cross of First Class of the Order of Dannebrog bestowed by Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II for civil merits.
