More about this expert:
I am a Doctor of Science working currently at Helen Oy with focus on development of on-grid energy storages, electromobility charging infrastructure and smart grid control. My professional interests are focused on development of e-mobility, energy storages and harsh-environment electronics. I have received M.Sc. degree in 2006 and D.Sc. degree in 2013 from Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering in the field of electronics reliability. I worked as a researcher and project manager at Aalto University between years 2004 - 2013, during which I participated in and managed multiple research projects focusing on reliability and performance development in electronic interconnections and energy systems. Subsequently I worked 17 months as an energy storage specialist at Valmet Automotive, with focus on harsh environment electric vehicle battery pack integration. With everything combined I have over 10 years of experience in design for reliability, testing and root cause analysis, accompanied by over 5 years of experience in Li-ion energy storages. My greatest professional achievement so far has been the succesful projecting, procurement and deployment of the 1.2MW Suvilahti battery energy storage unit. My greatest non-professional achievement is having a loving family with my fiancee and two wonderful small children.
