Passion Making the world a better place in a sustainable way. My motto: think global, act local. How did I become me? During upper-secondary school I suddenly realised that everyone does not care for the environment as much as I do. Having this understanding did not make me want to force others to care, but rather to nudge them in the right direction. This led me to study environmental economics at the University of Helsinki, with a minor in social psychology. I am still pondering upon what is the best way to make the world a better place. I’ve travelled the world as a climate change advocate for British Council and participated in the climate negotiations. I’ve worked with a start-up, that promotes small scale renewable energy in Uganda and for a consulting company specialising in emissions trading, which led me to write my master’s thesis on the factors effecting the process times in the project cycle of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). I represent the Green party in the board of the energy company Helsingin Energia and in the board of Fairtrade Finland.
