Cody Briggs is a Civil Engineering graduate from UCLA and received his Master of Science in Regenerative Studies (Sustainability) from the John T. Lyle Center at Cal Poly Pomona. Mr. Briggs’ certifications include Professional Engineering license (Civil) for the State of California, Certified Energy Manager, Envision Sustainability Professional and Certified Trainer, LEED AP BD&C, and Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner. Mr. Briggs currently works for Cumming as a consultant for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Agency (Metro) serving as the Program Manager for Metro’s Sustainability Plan Program and as an Energy Manager for Metro’s headquarters building. Mr. Briggs has been an active member of the America Society of Civil Engineers since 2004, serving as multiple positions at the various levels of ASCE. In 2014, he was recognized as the Outstanding Civil Engineer in the Private Sector for the Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch and Los Angeles Section. He is the Past Chair for the Los Angeles Section’s Sustainability Committee, a member of the Committee on Sustainability Strategic Communications Committee Section, Branch, and Liaison Working Group, and a member of the Committee on Sustainability’s Envision Training sub-committee. Mr. Briggs organized the Envision Training Workshop for the 2014 International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and will be providing the training in 2017 and founded an Annual Sustainability Symposium for the Los Angeles Section.
