More about this expert:
A physicist by training and first choice of profession (M.Sc. in Physics at the University of Bologna, Italy; PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics at the University of Oulu, Finland), where I focused primarily on computational physics and analysis of molecular dynamics, I began my work in the field of environmental technologies in 2010 (International master in Barents Environmental Engineering at the University of Oulu, Finland). Making use of my experience in computation and modelling, from the very beginning I dedicated my work to the development of smart energy network in the Nordic environment. My current research and area of expertise focus on the sustainability of smart energy network and the study of the complex interplay among multiple energy network systems. Concerning the sustainability of smart energy network, my interest is to analyze the economic, environmental and social factors (and their interplay) for the efficient and effective development and deployment of smart energy technologies. Concerning the multidimensional analysis of energy networks, my primary interest and area of expertise is energy flow analysis and environmental performance described in terms of resource utilization I am currently working as post-doc researcher at NorTech Oulu, the Environmental Technology research unit of the Thule Institute, the Environmental Research institute associated to the University of Oulu, Finland.
