Sustainable steelmaking industry in Turku

The project aims to develop sustainable steelmaking sector in Turku, Finland. An optimal energy management can substantially reduce the need of imported fossil fuels, which in turn, decreases the CO2 emissions. By appropriate EMS (Energy Management System) practical solutions can be found, which result in higher sustainability in the operation of the industrial sector, considering the external energy demand, such as electricity and district heating. The topic would also be of considerable significance for solving the problems of limited resources and large environmental impact of industrial production.
